Coach Ali Williams
Ali is no stranger to the baseball field. His baseball career started in Sumter, South Carolina where he attended high school. Ali went on to play at Charleston Southern University. He was selected by the KC Royals during the draft in 2011. Ali went on to play five season in the organization.
After his professional career ended, his focus was redirected to coaching/mentoring the younger generations of baseball players.
Ali currently owns Strike Zone Elite/KC Royals Scout Team/SC Warhawks. He coaches the 2026 Scout Team and 15U Sumter Warhawks.
Ali also offers indivdual pitching and hitting lessons.
WILLIAM MOODY
Coach Moody has been with the SC Warhawks since the beginning. Coach Moody has developed several top ranked teams in the state. He continues to lead our boys in the right direction. Coach Moody currently coaches the 2028 Scout Team which has been a power house team here in Charleston.
TOURE' HARRIS
Heading up the KC Royals Scout Team OF groups will be current Texas Rangers scout, Toure' Harris. Toure' will bring great insight to both the players and parents. He will help our players better understand how to be successful today and prepare for the next level. His experience at the collegiate and professional level will allow Toure' to mentor our players in a manner that helps them understand what it takes to grown in the game of baseball.
JOHN GRAHAM
We are pleased to welcome John Graham to the KC Royals Scout Team coaching staff. John played at North Augusta High School where he was an All-Region and All-Area selection. He was voted one of the top 64 players in the state. John received a scholarship to junior college powerhouse Middle Georgia College. He later transferred to Augusta State University where he played four seasons. He finished with a .300+ career batting average and All-Conference and 2nd Team All-Region selection in 2003. After college, John signed a contract with the Lincoln Saltdogs of the Independent Northern League.
John has spent the last 15 years coaching collegiate, high school, and travel ball teams. He currently owns and coaches with 5Tool Baseball.
TERRANCE SMALLS
Join the KC Scout Team staff is Terrance Smalls. Terrance will bring ton of knowledge to the infielders and coaching staff.
Terrance played at The Citadel where he was a terror on the base path. He currently ranks second on the all time list with 115 stolen bases. At the end of his collegiate career he ranked first on the schools all time games played, at bats, runs scored, hits, and stolen bases. Terrance was selected for The Citadel Hall of Fame in 2019.
COACH NEIL
Coach Neal brings over 16 years of baseball coaching experience. From little league, legion, high school and college level, Neal has covered all. Neal has 25 years of playing experience and 20 years of training experience. He has also privately coached players specializing in hitting, fielding, throwing, infield and outfield.
Neal was a high school standout for Holly Hill-Roberts High School. He had many offers to play college baseball but choose Benedict College to be a dual sport athlete. He attended Benedict College in Columbia, SC on baseball and basketball scholarships. He was named two time MVP his sophomore and junior year. He was district 6 runner up for player of the year in 1991. He received his Bachelor Degree in Accounting in 1994. After college Neal joined the military where he played five years for the All Army Baseball Team in Fort Hood, TX. After serving five active duty years, Neal continued playing baseball for summer leagues. He began his coaching career in 2006 at Benedict College where he won the SIAC East Division Championship. In the same year one player was drafted by Boston Red Sox. He coached on the High School level at Lake Marion High and Gray Collegiate Academy. Neal brings a lot of knowledge and enthusiasm to the game of baseball and will offer our players a chance to grow under his leadership.
BUDDY BLEASDALE
Joining our coaching staff will be Buddy Bleasdale. Buddy went to Laurence Manning Academy where he won 2 State Championships. After, he went to USC Union and played 3rd base for 2 years. Buddy recorded a .360 batting average as a freshman and .280 as a sophomore in region X. The following three years he played at Columbia International University where he hit .290 as a junior in the COVID shortened season. The team went on to win the NCAA National Championship. During this final year he hit .245 placing him top 20 in the nation in doubles. He’s now coaching at Columbia International University as the infield and first base coach.
We are thrilled to have Buddy joining our coaching staff and look forward to the knowledge he will bring to our teams.
RYAN OWENS
Ryan is the Head Coach for the KC Royals Scout Team 2029. Ryan was a LHP for The Citadel from 2002-2006. Ryan became a starter in 2005 for the Bulldogs.
For the past two years Ryan has coached with our organization. He has a created a team with a fiery competitive edge and we look forward to that same edge being delivered to our entire organization.
PHIL TOBIN
Phil is one of the best coaches out there! Phil has been coaching in the Low Country for years. Phil has made two state championship appearances at Summerville High 5A while winning one and loosing one. Phil played his college ball at the Citadel. We are happy to have a guy of his stature as part of the program. He will be the Head Coach for the 2025 KC Scout Team group.
ORLANDO HUDSON
Orland will join the KC Royals Scout program and has a wealth of information to share with both players and parents. He will be available to help parents and players better understand and prepare for the next level. Orlando played in the Big Leagues for 10 years winning four gold gloves and becoming an all star twice.
WILL MUIRHEID
Will is a longtime Lowcoutry resident with deep ties to the South Carolina baseball community. Will attended Stratford High School and was a senior member of the first team to win a State Championship under Charleston Baseball Hall of Fame Coach, John Chalus, and longtime Camden Baseball Coach, Denny Beckley. Will received an academic and athletic scholarship to attend and play baseball at NCAA Division II Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee under Coach Tony Skole, now Head Coach at The Citadel. Will received his Baccalaureate Degree from LMU and his Master's Degree from Charleston Southern. Between playing and coaching, Will has been around the baseball field for over 30 years. Will has a strong belief in providing a fundamental base for his players and allowing them to foster their own style of play from there. Will places a premium on the benefits that baseball gives beyond on the field demonstrated through hard work, commitment, toughness, and the ability to be a good teammate.
